Ralph Andretta, President and CEO

Ralph Andretta joined Bread Financial in February 2020 and is responsible for the Company’s growth, development and financial performance. With more than 25 years of experience at leading US financial services companies, Ralph has a strong record of growing credit card, loyalty, and affinity products and relationships, driving operational efficiencies and superior financial performance on a consistent basis.

Prior to joining Bread Financial, Ralph was Managing Director and Head of US Cards for Citi, where he managed significant client partnerships and launched a number of new products over his tenure. He also held positions in charge of loyalty, co-brand and product development while at Citi. His experience also includes having served as Global Affinity Products and International Card Executive with Bank of America, after spending 18 years with American Express in a number of operational and financial positions, both domestically and internationally.

Ralph is an executive committee member of the American Banker Association’s Card Policy Council. In the community, Ralph sits on the board of trustees at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, while also supporting other causes related to children and hunger, such as The Boys & Girls Club of America. Ralph earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Siena College. Outside of the office, Ralph enjoys golf and tennis, and spending time with his wife and their two daughters.

Perry Beberman, Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer

Perry Beberman joined Bread Financial as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in July 2021, bringing more than 30 years of experience in financial services to the Company.

In his role, Perry is responsible for leading Bread Financial’s financial, accounting and investor relations functions and driving continued financial performance. He came to Bread Financial from Bank of America where he most recently served as SVP and Finance Executive for the company’s Consumer and Wealth Management Lending Products. Perry joined Bank of America following its acquisition of MBNA where he had spent more than 17 years in leadership roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Delaware.

Perry has volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Delaware for nearly 20 years and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors. Additionally, in 2020, he joined the Board and is the Finance Committee Chair for REACH Riverside, a purpose-built community organization supporting underserved neighborhoods through community redevelopment, education and health initiatives. Aside from volunteering, Perry enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, traveling and cooking.

Valerie Greer, Executive VP, Chief Commercial Officer

Val joined Bread Financial in June 2020 as the Chief Commercial Officer of Bread Financial Card Services. She brings extensive knowledge and leadership experience to her role where she is responsible for the growth and strategy of the Card Services business through product and capability development, enhanced customer experience, and the attraction and retention of merchants, customers, brand partners and credit customers.

Before joining Bread Financial, Val led the US cards co-brand business at Citigroup, and previously served as the general manager of partnerships for JPMorgan Chase. She also held several senior leadership positions with increasing responsibility at HSBC, including as the executive director of HSBC’s private label credit card business.

In the community, Val is passionate about empowering women and girls and is a supporter of Plan International and Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX), as well as a mentor at the Serviam Girls Academy. Val holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Outside of the office, she enjoys skiing and spending time with her husband and their two sons.

Tammy McConnaughey, Executive VP, Operations and Credit Risk

Tammy joined Bread Financial in June 1992 and has held various senior leadership positions in collections, customer care, and credit risk during her nearly 30-year tenure at Bread Financial Card Services. Tammy currently leads credit management strategy, credit risk, and the servicing and fraud protection of Bread Financial’s customers and brand partners. She uses her operational expertise to lead thousands of customer care associates across the globe who serve Bread Financial’s credit customers, while also overseeing strategic initiatives around credit risk, business analysis and profitability.

Tammy was a participant in Bread Financial’s Executive Leadership Program through The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. Tammy has been a long-time champion of eradicating food insecurity and supporting local food bank initiatives across the communities where Bread Financial associates live and work. She currently serves on the board of trustees at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Away from the office, Tammy enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Joseph Motes, Executive VP, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary

Joe Motes joined Bread Financial in 2015, after nearly 20 years with leading law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he was the partner and lead relationship manager for Bread Financial. At Akin Gump, Joe’s practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and public company matters, including corporate governance and general corporate advice. He served as lead outside counsel on substantially all of Bread Financial’s material acquisitions, dispositions, and debt financings, including the company’s $2.3 billion acquisition of Conversant.

Joe was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in June of 2019, where he oversees a number of the Company’s internal corporate functions and organizations in addition to his continuing responsibilities as general counsel and secretary. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Trinity University and a JD from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the SMU Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. He has served on various service-oriented nonprofit boards, donates pro bono service hours each year, and is an advocate for individuals with cognitive disabilities. As general counsel, Joe works closely with our board and executive leadership to develop and implement corporate governance “best practices,” with a focus on ESG and sustainability matters. He is a strong advocate for workplace diversity and an ethics-driven corporate culture, and the rights of individuals with cognitive disabilities. Away from the office, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children and is an avid live music fan.
