Biography

Dennis McCarthy is Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Bread Financial, a position he has held since September 2026. Dennis brings nearly four decades of financial services leadership to his role, where he oversees the company’s revenue and growth strategy with a disciplined enterprise risk management and regulatory mindset. His deep experience balancing growth, governance and risk brings the strategic rigor necessary to drive long-term, sustainable and profitable growth.

In his role, Dennis is responsible for leading global teams to develop go-to-market strategies, ensuring product-market fit by bridging customer needs and insights with driving revenue, and partner and product growth. Since joining the company in 2021, Dennis has held executive leadership positions with increasing responsibilities. He has a proven track record of success, playing a central role in advancing the client partnership team’s operating model, driving the renewal success of key partner relationships, strengthening customer acquisition and retention, and increasing revenue through effective data-driven marketing and product strategies. A highly respected advisor and known for his ability to unite teams and work toward effective outcomes, he is a disciplined, trusted and confident leader who has navigated many significant milestones and changes. 

Prior to joining the company, Dennis spent nearly a decade at Citi where he was responsible for several prominent partnerships and previously held various leadership roles at Barclays and Bank of America. 

Dennis is an active supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Delaware, where he is also a former board of trustees' member. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Delaware. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and adult children and playing competitive sports.
